Welcome to the Wildcat Fun Run 2023!

We are excited to officially kick off our 2nd Annual Sunita Williams Elementary School Fun Run program! Beginning today, students can begin fundraising ahead of the big event taking place on Saturday, October 21st at 3:00 PM. 

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to support our Teacher Enrichment Grant Program and other curriculum-based activities. 

At the event, student participants will be challenged to complete 20 short laps around our school. We hope to raise $1 per lap or $20 total per student. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 classes that raise the most funds. The grade level with the highest participation will get a special in-school reward (to be announced!). 

This is a friendly competition, promoting wellness and community. All SWES students are welcome to participate, regardless of ability. Anyone unable to run can still fundraise by collecting donations for HIGH FIVES! 

We understand if your family is not able to financially support the school right now. You can still be involved by simply SHARING about our fundraiser with friends and family online at MYBOOSTER.com.Sharing IS supporting!

We hope everyone can come and cheer on the student runners at the Fun Run event and help raise money to support our wonderful teachers and staff at SWES.

HOW DONATIONS WORK

• Donors pledge and pay online, saving PTC volunteers 50+ hours and helping our school collect more donations faster. 

• Donors can either pledge per fitness challenge ($1 per lap) or opt for a flat donation.

Join us for a casual gathering on the back playground. Come for dinner, dancing, and play. Pack a picnic or order a pizza from us.

We’ll have snacks and slices available for purchase, as well.

Store-bought or homemade items are both welcome! Items should to be dropped off at Sunita Williams between 11:00am-12:00pm. If you'd like to bring something but cannot make that time, please email Kim Karelis (kbkarelis@gmail.com).

We are delighted to continue our tradition of Candy Bar Bingo at SWES!! Come and play Bingo with your Sunita Williams friends on Friday, January 27th, from 6:30pm to 8pm.

Everyone is a winner! Game winners will receive special prizes, but every player will receive a candy bar on their way out.

The cost is $5 per person (pay at the door). CASH ONLY. Free admission for children under 2.

WE WANT  YOU to share your heritage with us!! Let’s celebrate the diversity of the SWES community.   Families will prepare a poster display with fun facts about their chosen country  (languages spoken, location, favorite foods, games, etc). 

Please be on the lookout for a flyer in your child’s backpack with more details and instructions for signing up to create a display!

Join us as we celebrate our wonderful staff & teachers with a special Thanksgiving breakfast on Tuesday, November 22nd.  We invite families to show their appreciation by bringing in a breakfast item or table decoration.  Both store-bought and homemade items are welcome!

• For breakfast items/fruit, please write in the comments the item name/description of the food you are bringing.

• No need to provide utensils or plates - the PTC will provide compostable plates and utensils for the breakfast.

Mr. K has been a dedicated and passionate leader in the Needham education community for more than 27 years, including 11 years teaching 5th grade at Hillside School and then Principal at both

Hillside & Sunita Williams.
